A FEW WORDS FROM THE ARTIST:   "I became interested in painting this series of paintings after seeing the movie "Girl with a Pearl Earring" about the life of the dutch painter Vermeer. The figure has always been my main interest in art, both in painting and sculpting. Bringing the human spirit to life on the canvas I find a fascinating experience. Breathing life into a blank canvas with the help of paint and a few brushes is magical. When I feel like the figure exist in her own world reaching into my world I feel content and can say it's finished."   Vala Ola
